PROJECT PROFILE

A four star hotel with 295 guest rooms, Crowne Plaza Greenbelt is testament to the internal processes Ornoco has developed over time. Our largest project to date, a complete renovation of amenities was required – with guest rooms, lobby, food & beverage and function spaces all requiring a major overhaul.

The Client had a concise budget and looming project finish date. To meet the project timeline Ornoco implemented a dynamic manufacturing and logistics program. We made the decision to manufacture the majority of the FF&E in Portugal, saving the client money on logistics and shaving four weeks from the program in freight time.

To further avoid any timeline blow-outs, Ornoco’s supply chain manager, Brett Berlowitz, stationed himself onsite in Washington DC over two months – overseeing and managing the entire delivery and installation. Additionally, multiple rounds of value engineering took place, together with a rigorous quality control program.
